The show guide for village shows
Give your show what the flagship shows have — without their budget. One one-off fee, less than a programme print run, everything included.
Village shows run on volunteers, goodwill, and a committee that already has enough to do. The last thing yours needs is technology that changes how the show works or adds jobs to anyone's list. ShowDayGuide is built for exactly that: the show stays the same — the visitor's day just gets easier.
Set up by your committee in an evening — if you can fill in a form, you can build your show guide.
Works alongside your paper programme — or helps you slim it down. Some shows keep print exactly as it is and add a QR code to the cover; others cut their print run to save money and reduce waste. Either way works: the guide is an enhancement, and how much paper you print stays your choice.
Visitors scan and go — no app to download, no accounts, and the map and schedule keep working even when the signal drops.
One one-off fee covers everything your show guide needs. No per-visitor charges, no hidden extras, nothing to maintain.
Go deeper: how the showground map builder works — satellite tracing, automatic illustration, and a map visitors can use offline.
Set up in an evening, run by your committee
A guided checklist takes one committee member from blank page to published show guide — details, map, schedule, done. Invite other members at no extra charge so nobody carries it alone, and there's genuinely nothing technical to look after on show day.
Will it pay for itself?
For a village-sized show, the honest answer is usually yes — between a handful of vendor upgrades, a couple of sponsor placements, and what you save on print. Move the sliders; the numbers are set to a show your size.
One fee, everything included
The Village plan is £249 per show, one-off — everything below is included, and the guide is always free for your visitors.
Frequently asked questions
Will this change how we run our show?
No — that's the design. ShowDayGuide is a companion to your show as it already runs: the paper programme, the PA announcements and the printed schedule all stay. The guide simply puts the map, timings and announcements on visitors' phones so fewer people are lost, late, or asking the stewards where the toilets are. Whether you keep your full print run, trim it, or eventually go digital-first is entirely your choice — the guide works alongside whatever you print.
Do our volunteers need technical skills?
No. Setting up a show is a guided, form-based process a committee member can do in an evening. There's no software to install, nothing to maintain, and nothing technical to look after on show day.
What does it cost for a small show?
It's a single one-off payment per show with everything included — no per-visitor charges, and nothing else is required to run your show guide. The guide is always free for visitors. Current fees are published openly on the plans and pricing section.
What about visitors who don't use smartphones?
Nothing changes for them — the paper programme, signage and PA all work exactly as before. The guide is an addition for the visitors who want it, not a replacement for anything.
Does it work in a field with bad signal?
Yes. The map, schedule and pins keep working on visitors' phones even with no signal at all — a common situation on show day, and the reason ShowDayGuide was built the way it is.
