Christmas Markets in Norfolk 2026

Updated 28 October 2026

3 Christmas markets and fairs in Norfolk are listed for 2026, at Sandringham, Holkham and in Norwich, and the first to open, on Friday 13 November, is the Sandringham Christmas Craft, Food & Gift Fair. On the Sandringham Estate near King's Lynn, craftspeople, artists and designers sell their handmade work for three days, many of them making it while visitors browse, with a Food Hall and a cookery theatre alongside. Holkham, an estate in North Norfolk, places its food, drink and gift producers inside the Lady Elizabeth Wing and in chalets outside for three days in December. In the centre of Norwich, Christkindl Market Norwich turns Chapelfield Gardens into an alpine village of wooden chalets and fire pits for the ten days up to Sunday 20 December.

Questions about Christmas markets in Norfolk

When do Christmas markets start in Norfolk?

The first Norfolk market to open in 2026 is the Sandringham Christmas Craft, Food & Gift Fair, on Friday 13, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November. Holkham Christmas Market and Christkindl Market Norwich both open on Friday 11 December; Holkham closes on Sunday 13 December, and the Norwich market carries on until Sunday 20 December. Every card has the market's own dates.

Are dogs allowed at Christmas markets in Norfolk?

Yes, on a lead, at Sandringham and Holkham; Christkindl Market Norwich has not said whether dogs are welcome. The Sandringham fair welcomes dogs on leads but warns that it is noisy and that the wooden floors in some marquees can be hard for dogs to walk on, so a nervous dog is better left at home. At Holkham, dogs on leads may join you at the outdoor stalls but cannot go into the Lady Elizabeth Wing.

Which Christmas markets in Norfolk are free to enter?

Entry to Holkham Christmas Market is free, but cars pay for parking for the day. At Christkindl Market Norwich, children go free every day, and everyone gets in free on weekdays between 10am and 3pm; adults pay to enter at other times. The Sandringham fair sells tickets, in advance or on arrival, and each ticket is valid for one day.

Are any Christmas markets in Norfolk open in the evening?

Christkindl Market Norwich is: its stalls stay open until 9pm every day, from 10am. Holkham Christmas Market is open from 10am to 4pm, and the Sandringham fair from 10am to 5pm.

Is there parking at Christmas markets in Norfolk?

Sandringham's parking is free, and Holkham's is charged for the day. At Sandringham, disabled visitors use the West Newton Entrance, where staff try to park them near the entrance. For Christkindl Market Norwich, the Chantry Place, Castle Quarter, The Forum and St Andrews car parks are all within walking distance of Chapelfield Gardens, which is also a short walk from Norwich Bus Station, and the organiser says the central spot suits anyone who would rather use Park & Ride.

Are Christmas markets in Norfolk wheelchair accessible?

The Sandringham fair has published access details; Holkham and Christkindl Market Norwich have not yet. At Sandringham the fair stands on grassed open ground, with toilets for disabled visitors, parking for disabled visitors at the West Newton Entrance, and mobility scooters for hire, which are best booked ahead. Holkham has given no wheelchair, toilet or surface details for its market, and the Norwich market's organiser has not published accessibility details.

Every market is listed from the details its organisers and venues publish.
