Christmas Markets in Warwickshire 2026

Updated 28 October 2026

4 Christmas markets and fairs in Warwickshire are listed for 2026, in Stratford-upon-Avon, Stoneleigh and Compton Verney, and Stoneleigh Winter Fair and the Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas Markets both open on Saturday 28 November. Stratford-upon-Avon's markets take over the town centre for two weekends, with Waterside and Bridge Street shut to traffic and traders filling the streets. At NAEC Stoneleigh, the heated Halls 2 and 2A hold the fair for a weekend, with a synthetic skating rink and Santa's Sleigh, and the Amateur of the Year Horse Show alongside. Compton Verney, an art gallery in grounds landscaped by Capability Brown, fills its galleries with makers' Christmas gifts from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 December.

Questions about Christmas markets in Warwickshire

When do Christmas markets start in Warwickshire?

In 2026 Stoneleigh Winter Fair and the first weekend of the Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas Markets both begin on Saturday 28 November. Stoneleigh runs that Saturday and Sunday only, and Stratford comes back for a second weekend on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December. The Compton Verney Gift Fair is on from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 December. Each card has its market's dates.

Are dogs allowed at Christmas markets in Warwickshire?

It depends on the market. Middleton Hall Christmas Market welcomes well-behaved dogs on a lead in the gardens, but only assistance dogs and guide dogs in the Hall. At NAEC Stoneleigh, guide dogs and other assistance animals are welcome. Compton Verney's fair is indoors in its galleries and has no dog rule of its own; elsewhere at the venue, dogs on leads may go into the Welcome Centre, the grounds and the meadow. The Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas Markets have said nothing about dogs.

Do I need a ticket for Christmas markets in Warwickshire?

For Stoneleigh and Compton Verney, yes. Stoneleigh Winter Fair sells adult tickets for either the Saturday or the Sunday, under-5s go free with a ticket booked alongside a paying adult, and the ticket also covers the horse show. Compton Verney sells a fair-only ticket and one that adds the galleries and exhibitions, and children go free. Stratford-upon-Avon has not published entry details for its Christmas Markets.

Are any Christmas markets in Warwickshire open in the evening?

Stratford-upon-Avon's are, on Saturdays. Its Christmas Markets run from 10am to 8pm on both Saturdays and from 10am to 5pm on the Sundays. Stoneleigh Winter Fair opens at 9am and closes at 5pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday, and the Compton Verney Gift Fair opens at 10am each day, with no closing time given yet.

Is there parking at Christmas markets in Warwickshire?

Stoneleigh and Compton Verney both have free parking, and Compton Verney keeps Blue Badge spaces right in front of its Welcome Centre. For Stratford-upon-Avon, the council encourages drivers to use the Park & Ride at Bishopton, where the usual charges apply, and says the market road closures leave every public car park in the town centre unaffected.

Are Christmas markets in Warwickshire wheelchair accessible?

NAEC Stoneleigh and Compton Verney have published access details for their venues. NAEC Stoneleigh describes every one of its spaces as step-free or on the ground level, and has accessible toilets throughout the venue and Blue Badge parking, with stewards directing drivers on arrival; it does not hire out wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Compton Verney's details are for the venue as a whole: there is a ramp at the entrance and there are lifts and accessible toilets on each level of the galleries, and wheelchairs can be borrowed free from the shop, though the courtyard and the path round the house are loose gravel. Stratford-upon-Avon has not published 2026 access details; the council's access statement is for the 2025 markets.

Every market is listed from the details its organisers and venues publish.
