ShowDayGuide

Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

Effective 13 August 2026

These terms govern the ShowDayGuide™ Win-Chance prize draw. By entering, you accept these terms — please read them before you enter. They are read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. The Promoter

The promoter is SHOWDAYGUIDE LTD (company number 17222819), registered in England and Wales, whose registered office is at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ ("ShowDayGuide", "we", "us", "our").

The promoter is ShowDayGuide, not the organiser of any show at which the draw is promoted. Show organisers are the host venue only, and are not responsible for the draw, the selection of winners, or the award of prizes.

2. What the draw is

A separate free prize draw is run for each participating show. Each draw is independent: entering the draw at one show gives you no entry into any other.

Where a draw is running, this will be stated on the ShowDayGuide page for that show, together with the prize for that show and the closing time.

3. No purchase necessary

Entry is free. No purchase or payment of any kind is required to enter, and no payment will improve your chance of winning.

Entry is not conditional on buying a ticket to, or paying admission to, any show. Every show’s page on showdayguide.co.uk is freely available to anyone, and an entry may be made from that page, at no charge, on the day or days on which that show takes place. You do not need to attend the show in person to enter.

4. Who can enter

Entry is open to residents of the United Kingdom. There is no minimum age to enter; however, a prize can only be claimed by, or on behalf of, a person aged 18 or over — see clause 11.

The following may not enter: employees, officers and contractors of ShowDayGuide; anyone involved in administering the draw; members of the organising committee of the show at which the draw is promoted; and the immediate families and households of any of these.

5. How to enter

To enter, open the ShowDayGuide page for a participating show, either by scanning a ShowDayGuide QR code or by going to that show’s page at showdayguide.co.uk.

Entries are issued only on the day or days on which the show takes place, and only while that show’s draw remains open. It is not possible to obtain an entry before the show’s first day.

If a draw is running for that show and you are eligible, you will be issued with:

  • a draw number, which identifies your entry and which we may publish when announcing results; and
  • a claim code, which is private to you and which you will need in order to claim a prize.

Your draw number and claim code are shown on your device and are stored on that device. Keep your claim code private and do not share it. Anyone holding your claim code may be able to claim your prize.

6. One entry per person, per show

You may enter each show’s draw once. Entries are held against the device and browser you enter with. Opening the same show again on the same device will show you your existing entry; it will not create a second one.

If you clear your browser storage, use a different browser, or use a different device, your entry cannot be recovered and we will not be able to reissue it. We are not responsible for entries that are lost, deleted or inaccessible for these reasons.

Duplicate entries, and entries that we reasonably believe to be automated, fraudulent, or made in a way designed to obtain more than one entry per person, may be removed before the draw or disqualified.

6.4 Automated and bulk entries

We may exclude, before the draw, any entry or group of entries that we reasonably believe was automated, scripted, bulk-submitted, generated by a bot or other automated process, or otherwise not made as a genuine individual entry in accordance with these terms. In making that assessment, we may consider technical indicators, including the number, frequency and timing pattern of entries. Any suspected entries will be reviewed by a person before exclusion, and the decision and reason will be recorded in the draw record. An excluded entry is not a valid entry and gives no right to a prize. Our decision will stand unless there has been a manifest error, and nothing in this clause affects an entrant’s statutory rights.

7. Closing time

The entry window for each draw opens at the start of the show’s first day and closes at the time stated on the ShowDayGuide page for that show. No entry can be obtained before the window opens or after it closes, and only entries issued within it are included in that draw. An entry counts only when it has been received by our servers before that closing time and we have issued its draw number and claim code.

If an entry request is saved or queued on your device because you are offline or have a poor connection, it has not yet been received or accepted by us. It will count only if it reaches our servers before the published closing time. A request that remains on a device, or reaches our servers after the closing time, is not included in the draw.

8. The prize

The prize or prizes for each show are as stated on the ShowDayGuide page for that show before or at the time of entry. Prizes vary between shows, and the number of prizes varies between shows.

There is no cash alternative and prizes are not transferable. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the prize stated becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our reasonable control.

Where a prize is a gift card, voucher or prepaid card, it is subject to the issuer’s own terms, including any expiry date. We are not the issuer of any such card or voucher and are not responsible for the issuer’s terms, its acceptance by retailers, or its withdrawal.

9. How winners are selected

After the draw has closed, duplicate and invalid entries are excluded. Winners are then selected at random from all remaining valid entries, giving every valid entry an equal chance of winning, by an automated computer process that produces verifiably random results.

A record of each draw is retained, including the entries received, the exclusions applied, the time of the draw, the number of entries in it, and the numbers selected, so that the fairness of the draw can be demonstrated if required.

Where a draw has more than one prize, the valid entries are drawn in order. The first entry drawn is awarded Prize 1, the second is awarded Prize 2, and so on in the order in which the prizes are listed on the ShowDayGuide page for that show.

At the same draw, and by the same process, we also select one or more reserve entries, which are drawn and ranked in the same way. A reserve is used only where a selected winner does not claim within the period in clause 11.

10. How winners are notified

Winning numbers are announced on the ShowDayGuide page for that show. They may also be announced publicly at the show, and sent as a notification to people who have turned on notifications for that show.

It is your responsibility to check whether your number has won. We have no way of contacting you unless and until you claim, because we hold no name, email address or other contact details for you (see clause 13).

11. Claiming a prize

To claim, open the ShowDayGuide page for that show and follow the claim instructions, providing:

  • your draw number and your claim code; and
  • an email address we can send the prize to; and
  • confirmation that you are aged 18 or over, or, where the entrant is under 18, a claim made on their behalf by a parent or legal guardian (see clause 12).

You must claim within 7 days of the date the draw result is announced. If you do not claim within that period, your entry ceases to be valid, no prize will be awarded to you, and we may award that prize to a reserve. A reserve who is promoted has 7 days from the date we notify them.

We may refuse a claim where the draw number and claim code do not match our records, where the claim is made after the claim period, or where the entrant does not meet the eligibility conditions in clause 4. We will not withhold a prize from an entrant who has met the conditions set out in these terms.

If a prize remains unclaimed after all reserves for that prize have been given the opportunity to claim, no prize will be awarded.

12. Under-18 entrants

Individuals under the age of 18 may enter the prize draw. However, if a winning entry was submitted by someone under 18, any prize must be claimed and accepted on their behalf by their parent or legal guardian. ShowDayGuide may require reasonable evidence that the person claiming the prize is the entrant’s parent or legal guardian before awarding the prize.

We do not require entrants to provide their name or contact details in order to enter the prize draw. If a winning entry belongs to someone under 18, we will request the contact details of their parent or legal guardian solely for the purposes of verifying eligibility, contacting the winner and administering the prize.

13. Your personal data

Entering the draw does not require you to give us any personal data. Your draw number and claim code are held against an identifier for your device, not against your name, email address or any other information identifying you. We cannot tell who you are from your entry. Your entry is therefore pseudonymous rather than anonymous: it is not linked to you by name, but it is linked to the device you entered on.

If you claim a prize, we will ask for your email address. We use it only to send you your prize and to deal with any query about that prize. We will not use it to send you marketing, we will not add it to a mailing list, and we will not link it to your activity at any other show. Entry into the draw does not amount to consent to marketing.

We keep a prize claim record, including the email address, for 90 days after the prize has been sent, so that we can resolve any dispute about delivery. After that period we delete the email address.

SHOWDAYGUIDE LTD is the data controller and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration ZC186208). Our full privacy notice, including how to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and how to complain to the ICO, is at showdayguide.co.uk/privacy.

14. Publicity

We may publish the winning draw numbers. We may ask a winner whether we can announce their first name and county; we will only do so with their agreement, cooperation is requested rather than required, and we will not publish your name or any other information about you in connection with the draw without asking you first and obtaining your agreement.

15. Our responsibility

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

We are not responsible for failures of networks, devices, or third-party services outside our reasonable control that prevent an entry being issued, a result being seen, or a claim being made.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

16. Changes and cancellation

We will only change these terms, or cancel or suspend a draw, in exceptional circumstances outside our reasonable control or where necessary to ensure fairness or legal compliance. If we do, we will publish the change on the ShowDayGuide page for that show, and the change will not disadvantage anyone who has already entered.

17. General

Each draw, and these terms, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.

18. Contact

Questions about the draw: [email protected], or write to us at the address in clause 1.
