Kilnsey Show
Held in the shadow of the spectacular Kilnsey Crag, the Kilnsey Show has marked the end of summer in the Yorkshire Dales since 1897. Run by the Upper Wharfedale Agricultural Society, this traditional one-day show sits in the picturesque village of Kilnsey, twelve miles north of Skipton, and draws crowds of up to 15,000. It is a proper Dales day out — keenly contested livestock competitions, equine events and sheepdog trials, alongside a fabulous display of baking, handicrafts and horticulture, a lively field of trade stands and amusements, and the legendary Kilnsey Crag Race, a punishing fell run straight up the face of the crag and back. With the dramatic limestone backdrop and a heritage stretching back more than a century, Kilnsey is widely regarded as one of the Dales' premier agricultural shows. Please note that Kilnsey operates a strict no-dogs policy across the whole site. Assistance dogs are allowed by law.
