Wolsingham Show is a two-day agricultural show held over the first weekend of September at the showground at Scotch Isle Park, Wolsingham, in the Wear Valley, County Durham. It describes itself as England's oldest agricultural show and County Durham's biggest open-air one, set on 36 acres of flat riverside land. In 2027 it is on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September. Saturday is the agricultural day, with cattle, sheep, goat and horse judging, showjumping and a grand parade. Sunday is country fair day, with a Kennel Club open dog show, terrier, lurcher and whippet judging, dog agility, heavy horse driving and Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling. Across the weekend there are gundog displays with a have-a-go scurry, an artisan food market and more than 100 trade stands.

Dogs are welcome on a lead at all times, and there are water points for dogs around the showground. There's a have-a-go gundog scurry, and on the Sunday a Kennel Club open dog show and terrier, lurcher and whippet judging.

Notes
The showground is large and spread out, so expect a fair amount of walking. It is fairly flat but rough and uneven in places and can get slippery, and there's no mobility scooter hire. Signposted disabled parking is close to the showground, disabled toilets are at most toilet blocks and in the Barn, where there's also a changing area. There's no designated viewing area for disabled visitors. Carers are admitted free: pay on the gate and claim a refund in writing within 14 days with a National Carer Card or UK Disability Card and proof of disability.

The show has over 8,000 public parking spaces, with signposted blue badge parking close to the showground. It doesn't say on its website whether parking is charged. In 2026 a free shuttle bus ran from Wolsingham village between 10am and 7pm on both days, roughly every 20 minutes.
How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are sold online through the ticket link on the show's website, and weekend membership is also available through an application form there. 2027 prices haven't been published yet. Carers are admitted free: the refund is claimed in writing after the show with a National Carer Card or UK Disability Card, as refunds aren't given on the day.
