Whittingham Show
Whittingham Show is a village show held on the third Saturday in August on its show field just outside Whittingham, near Alnwick, where the field meets Whittingham Lane. For 2027 that should be Saturday 21 August, to be confirmed by the show. It bills itself as a family day out, built around a traditional marquee of horticultural, floral art, baking, handicraft, art, photography and children's exhibits, alongside a sheep show and a fun dog rally. Around the field there are trade and craft stalls, a funfair, archery, a falconry display, a steel band and folk music, children's games and sports, a tug of war, refreshments and a bar with local ale. The afternoon ends with an auction of exhibits and the presentation of cups.
