The Westmorland County Show is a two-day county agricultural show held each September on the society's showground at Lane Farm, Crooklands, near Milnthorpe on the edge of the Lake District. The 2027 show is on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 September. The Westmorland County Agricultural Society was founded in 1799 and is now a registered charity. It is a full county show: cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, poultry, rabbits and alpacas, heavy and light horses, show jumping and private driving, foxhounds and terriers, vintage tractors and a Kennel Club dog show. Beyond the rings there is a large local food hall with a cookery theatre, a Women's Institute marquee, a forestry festival, Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling, rural crafts to have a go at, and hundreds of trade stands. Parking is free, and a free bus runs to the showground for the County Show.
