Weeton Show
Weeton Show began straight after the Second World War and has run every year since 1945 bar two, and it's still a firm July Sunday fixture on its showground off Weeton Lane, between Harrogate and Otley. There are sheep, horse, horticulture and produce classes and a children's section, and dogs have a big part to play: the dog show is open to every dog, with fun classes on the day, a dog scurry, terrier racing and the dog race to finish the afternoon. Around the field there are vintage tractors, rural craft demonstrations, trade stands, a food court and a bar, and Weeton station is just a ten-minute walk away.
