Thornton-le-Dale Show

Wednesday 4 August 2027 (to be confirmed)
The Showfield, Maltongate, Thornton-le-Dale, North Yorkshire(YO18 7SA)

Thornton-le-Dale Show brings a full farming show to the village of Thornton-le-Dale, near Pickering, on a Wednesday each August, on the showfield on Maltongate. Run not for profit to promote farming, horticulture, crafts and local traditions, it has classes for horses and ponies, cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, rare breeds, ferrets, fur and feather, vintage tractors, produce, handicrafts, shepherds' crooks and walking sticks. Dogs are well catered for, with a pet dog show taking entries on the day, a working terrier and lurcher show and sheepdog trials. The day ends with a fancy dress parade and evening sports, so it's worth staying until the end.
