The Fife Show

Saturday 22 May 2027
Kinloss House, Cupar, Fife(KY15 4PE)

The Fife Show dates back to 1821, when a society in Cupar began holding an annual show with prizes for its best livestock. Volunteers keep it going today, and thousands of visitors head for 60 acres at Kinloss House, just outside Cupar. Heavy horses hold the Main Ring, where the Parade of Livestock ends with a Champion of Champions crowned, and vintage machinery parades later on. Light horses compete across six rings, with showjumping as well. Enter your dog in the companion dog show, let the children handle exotic creatures and bugs in a countryside tent of their own, and cheer on the Young Farmers at the tug o' war. A Made in Fife marquee, crafts, a food court and a funfair fill out the day, and parking is free.

Notes
The show welcomes visitors with special needs and their carers. It is held on 60 acres of grassland, some of it uneven, and wet weather can make the ground soft and muddy, which is difficult for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, crutches and walking sticks. Blue Badge holders can use forward parking near the entrances if the badge is displayed on arrival, first come first served, and should tell the car park steward if they bring a wheelchair or mobility scooter and need extra space. Portable disabled toilets are placed around the showfield, and first aid is on site all day. One registered carer is admitted free (proof may be asked for). A covered area beside the Food Court offers shade or shelter. There is no wheelchair or scooter hire.
