Reeth Show
Reeth Show, first held in 1900, is a traditional Swaledale show on the August bank holiday Monday, on its show field at Fremington beside Reeth village. Sheep classes and sheepdog trials sit at its heart, with horses and ponies, open driving and mounted fancy dress, an open dry stone walling competition, walking sticks, and vintage tractors, cars and motorbikes. The main marquee is packed with horticulture, produce, handicrafts, photography and children's classes, and there's a pet dog show with classes decided on the day. Add the Great Fremington Edge fell race, children's rides, local trade stalls and a licensed bar, and it's a classic Dales bank holiday.
