Peebles Show

Saturday 21 August 2027 (to be confirmed)
Nether Horsburgh Farm, Cardrona, Scottish Borders(EH44 6RE)

For more than a century the Peeblesshire Agricultural Society has held its show every August, now at Nether Horsburgh Farm, Cardrona, and it ranks among the most popular days out in the Borders year. Around 5,000 people come for a single day of competition: roughly 1,500 sheep, 150 cattle and more than 250 horses, Clydesdales included, go before the judges, with vintage tractors, donkeys, shepherds' sticks and classes for young handlers in the mix. Anyone can try the homecraft section's baking and craft classes, children too, and dogs can be entered in classes on the day. Look round more than 100 trade stands and plenty of local food and drink, and a free bus to and from the show runs all day between Peebles and Innerleithen.
