The North Yorkshire County Agricultural Show is a traditional county show and family day out on a Sunday in June, at Otterington Hall between Northallerton and Thirsk. Cattle, sheep, light and heavy horses and showjumping fill the rings, with vintage tractors and classic cars, farrier demonstrations and a marquee of crafts, horticulture and produce. The main ring brings a grand parade of champions and a parade of hunt hounds, and there's a fun family dog show you can enter on the day. With more than a hundred stalls of trade, crafts and local food and free parking, it's an easy summer Sunday in North Yorkshire.
