Malton Show
Malton Show returns to Scampston Park, just outside Malton, after a year away, and it has been a fixture of the local farming calendar since the 1870s. The Malton Agricultural Society behind it dates from 1833, and the show moved from its old showfield in the town to Scampston Park in 1998. It's a working show, with horse and livestock classes for cattle, sheep and goats, sheepdog trials and vintage machinery, alongside horticulture, baking and preserves, art, handicrafts and children's classes. With trade stands around the showground and the parkland setting, it's a welcome return to the last weekend of June.
