Ingram Show and Sports
Ingram Show and Sports is a small valley show held on the second Saturday in September on the Ingram show field in the Breamish Valley, near Powburn in Northumberland. It combines a traditional show with a sports day: an open sheepdog trial, sheep classes, pony sports for under-16s, and a marquee of vegetables, flowers, baking, preserves, handicrafts, photography, walking sticks and children's classes. Dogs are very much part of the day, with an open dog rally, have-a-go agility and a gundog scurry. The afternoon brings children's and adult sports, terrier racing and two hill races, including the historic race up and over Brough Law, first run a century ago, with face painting and Punch and Judy for younger visitors.
