Hodder Valley Show

Saturday 11 September 2027 (to be confirmed)
Forest of Bowland, Lancashire

Hodder Valley Show does things differently: it moves each year, hosted in turn by the farmers and landowners of Dunsop Bridge, Newton-in-Bowland and Slaidburn, so no two shows in the Forest of Bowland are alike. Held on the second Saturday in September, with a history going back to 1864, it puts cattle and sheep at its heart, with sheep shearing, young handlers, vintage tractors and a main-ring programme. There are horticulture and craft tents, a food hall and trade stands, and a fun dog show taking entries on the day. Wherever it lands, it's a proper Bowland farming day out.
