Hawkshead Show
Hawkshead Show is a traditional one-day agricultural show on a working farm, Hawkshead Hall Farm, just outside Hawkshead village between Windermere and Coniston in the Lake District. The 2027 show is expected to be on Tuesday 24 August, to be confirmed by the show. It is run by the Hawkshead Agricultural Society, founded in 1875, which held its 150th anniversary show in 2025. The horse rings run from Shetlands, fell ponies and mountain and moorland breeds to working hunters, heavy horses and private driving, and the sheep lines cover Herdwicks, Rough Fells and many other breeds, with classes for young shepherds. There is a sheepdog and terrier show, pet classes, vintage tractors and machinery, and a horticulture and home craft marquee. Add a food hall and craft stands, children's races and an adults' fell race up Latterbarrow, and it makes a full Lakeland day out.
