Glanton Show
Glanton Show is a community-led village show held each year on the second Saturday in August, on a field off The Causeway where it meets the A697 at Glanton, near Alnwick in Northumberland. For 2027 that should be Saturday 14 August, to be confirmed by the show. The show marked its 100th staging in 2025, and 2027 will be its 102nd. It runs through the afternoon, with an exhibition tent full of flowers, fruit and vegetables, baking, handicrafts, photography, art and sticks, alongside pony sports, a companion dog show, dog agility displays, the show's own terrier racing, the local foxhounds, children's sports, classic cars and bikes, live music, and a hill race of about 4km through the surrounding countryside. There are traders, food stands, a bar and a Pimms bar.
