Dalston Show is a one-day agricultural show on the Village Show Field at Dalston, near Carlisle in Cumbria. The 2027 show is on Saturday 14 August. The show has run since the 19th century and in recent years has been part of the week-long Dalston Village Festival. Horse and livestock exhibitors come from across Cumbria and beyond, with horse and show jumping, cattle, sheep and vintage vehicle and machinery classes, including heavy horse classes and a Concours d'Elegance. The industrial and craft marquee holds almost 200 classes, and there are children's competitions too. More than 80 trade stands fill the field, with caterers and bars. The main ring programme has included Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling, terrier racing and a pet show, and there is free parking with a shuttle bus, and a station ten minutes' walk away.

Parking is free, with a shuttle bus from the main car park, and the show's field plan marks a Blue Badge car park. Dalston station is about ten minutes' walk away, with trains from Carlisle and West Cumbria. The show field is grass.

2027 prices aren't published yet. In 2026 gate prices were £10 for adults, £5 for children over 5, £7.50 for over-60s and £25 for a family (two adults and two children). Advance tickets, bought online through the show's website, were cheaper: £8, £2.50, £6 and £20. Cash and card were taken at the gate. Parking was free.
Can I bring my dog?
The show doesn't publish a dog policy, so check with the show before you go. There's terrier racing in the main ring and a pet show with entries taken on the day.
