Cockermouth Show

Saturday 7 August 2027 (to be confirmed)
The Fitz, Low Road, Cockermouth, Cumbria(CA13 0HH)

Cockermouth Show is a one-day agricultural show held each summer on the showfield at The Fitz, on Low Road beside Cockermouth in West Cumbria. The 2027 show is expected on Saturday 7 August, to be confirmed by the show; in recent years it has been held on the first Saturday in August. It has been running since 1849 and is organised by the Cockermouth & District Agricultural Society. Livestock sits at the heart of the day, with classes for cattle, sheep, goats, horses and poultry, alongside sheepdog, foxhound and terrier classes. Around the rings there are show jumping and equine competitions, Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling, a sheep-clipping demonstration, and machinery old and new. The industrial tent shows baking, crafts and produce, and there are trade stands, local food and children's entertainment.
