Bowes Show
Bowes Show is a one-day agricultural show near the village of Bowes in Teesdale, County Durham, run by volunteers of the Bowes Agricultural Society, founded in 1869. In 2026 it moved to a new field at Lowfield Farm on the edge of the village and to a mid-August date; the 2027 show is expected on Saturday 21 August, to be confirmed by the show. Its heart is the livestock, with more than a dozen native and traditional sheep breeds and Beef Shorthorn cattle, alongside horse and pony showing and unaffiliated show jumping, vintage tractors, and a horticultural and industrial marquee with baking, crafts, flowers and children's classes. There's a fun dog show you can enter on the day, main-ring displays, craft and trade stands, a farmers' market marquee and a licensed bar.
