Black Isle Show

Wednesday 4 August – Thursday 5 August 2027
Mannsfield Showground, Muir of Ord, Highland(IV6 7RS)

The Black Isle Farmers' Society first staged its show at Fortrose in 1836, and since 1957 the Black Isle Show has had a showground of its own at Muir of Ord in Ross-shire. Entries come from across Scotland, and the society bills its show as the north's largest agricultural event. Thursday is the main day: livestock judging, Highland ponies, Clydesdales and Shetlands, sheep shearing and fleece competitions, a flower show and a purpose-built Food & Craft hall of 1,100 square metres. The evening before, a preview brings show jumping. Parking is free. Not just for farmers, the society says: it's a day out for everyone.
