Winchcombe Christmas Festival
Winchcombe, a historic working town in the Cotswold countryside of Gloucestershire, goes all out for Christmas, with more than 70 real trees lighting up the town. On the Thursday, from midday until 8pm, over 50 market stalls sell gifts and festive food and the shops stay open late. Carols and live music fill the town, with choirs, bands, Morris dancers, street entertainers and local community groups joining in. The next day the market gives way to a shopping trail, where around 20 pop-ups from market traders are set up inside independent shops, cafes and venues. Parking all day at the Back Lane car park costs just £1, a few minutes' walk from the High Street.
