When is the Christmas Market at Weald & Downland Living Museum?
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, from 10am to 4pm each day.
Where is it?
At Weald & Downland Living Museum, Town Lane, Singleton, West Sussex, PO18 0EU. The museum says it can be reached via the A286 Chichester to Midhurst road, about 7 miles north of Chichester.
How much are tickets, and do I need to book?
Yes. It is a ticketed event and the museum says advance booking is essential. The museum's website lists 2026 tickets at £20 for adults (18 and over), £10 for children aged 5 to 17, free for children aged 0 to 4, and £10 for a disabled visitor including one free carer. Book through the museum's website. Museum membership does not include this event, but members get 10% off tickets with a discount code from the museum.
How do I get there, and is there parking?
The museum runs a free, frequent park-and-ride service from Goodwood Racecourse throughout the day. Limited accessible parking at the museum is for Blue Badge (disabled parking permit) holders only, and the badge must be clearly displayed in the windscreen on arrival. You can also come by the Route 60 bus from Chichester or Midhurst, using the pedestrian entrance with a ticket bought in advance.
Are dogs allowed?
No. The museum asks for no dogs to be brought to this event. Only assistance dogs are admitted.
What is there to see and do?
The museum describes up to 100 stalls of gifts, handcrafted items, seasonal food and festive treats from makers and local producers, with music, food and drink, and family activities. You can also explore the museum as it is prepared for the festive season.
What is there to eat and drink?
The museum says there is seasonal food and warming drinks at the market, and the stalls include seasonal food and festive treats.
Is it accessible?
For the market, the museum gives limited Blue Badge parking and a pedestrian entrance. For the museum site in general, it says paths are mainly gravel, chippings or natural rural surfaces, some routes are uneven and there may be cobbles in courtyards. It does not currently provide wheelchair hire. A flat resin-surfaced path gives step-free access from the parking area to the Visitor Centre, and an accessible toilet is in the café building. Contact the museum for anything specific to the market.
How do I get a stall?
Traders apply through the Trader Applications page of the museum's website, on a first come, first served basis. You need your business details, an overview of your products with example prices, four product images and a copy of your current public liability insurance certificate. The museum aims to reply within seven working days, and late applications go on a waiting list.
