Victorian Christmas Market at Kelham Island Museum

Saturday 5 December – Sunday 6 December 2026
Kelham Island Museum, Sheffield, South Yorkshire(S3 8RY)

Sheffield's Kelham Island Museum goes Victorian for a December weekend, as its much-loved Christmas market comes back with gaslamps, stalls and music to open the festive season. More than 80 stalls sell gifts and goods made in Sheffield by local makers. The Snow Queen on stilts moves among walkabout characters, a street organ plays, and brass bands, choirs and carollers take turns on the Music Hall Stage. Children have fairground rides, Santa's Grotto and a sleigh made for selfies, while grown-ups can warm up with mulled wine or settle into the Millowners Arms. Indoors, the galleries tell the city's steel story, and every hour the River Don Engine sets the floor shaking. Under-5s go free, and you can pay at the ticket desk on the day.
