Sleaford Christmas Market and Lights Switch-On
Sleaford Town Council's Christmas Market and Lights Switch-On takes over the centre of this Lincolnshire town, with stalls and entertainment spread through Market Place, Eastgate Green, Navigation Yard and Riverside. The Mayor and the Town Crier open it at 11am, and more than 100 stalls are joined by food and drink and places to sit down. Horse-drawn carriages take visitors round town free of charge, and a gaming bus is free too. There are fairground rides and games, live music and dancing; families can meet Frozen's Anna and Elsa, see the goats and the lit-up angels on stilts, join a circus workshop or find Father Christmas with his sleigh while Victorian carol singers perform. The whole day builds to the moment the town's Christmas lights come on at 4.15pm.
