Shropshire County Show

Saturday 22 May 2027
West Mid Showground, Shrewsbury, Shropshire(SY1 2PF)

Shropshire County Show has brought the county's farmers together for well over a century. It began as the day they came to meet their suppliers and settle up; now it draws thousands to the West Mid Showground in Shrewsbury each May as a family agricultural show. Young Farmers' clubs across Shropshire spend months building floats to a yearly theme, then parade them through the main arena in fancy dress, and the Grand Parade brings out livestock-ring champions. Heavy horses from farming's past have a village of their own, the Countryside Arena is given to country crafts and skills, choirs and bands play at the bandstand, and hundreds of producers sell food, drink, clothing and art. Dogs on leads have been welcome, with a fun dog show to enter on the day, and parking has been free.
