Royal Isle of Wight County Show

Saturday 10 July – Sunday 11 July 2027
Isle of Wight County Showground, Northwood, Isle of Wight(PO30 5TP)

The Royal Isle of Wight County Show has been part of island life since 1833. Queen Victoria showed her own sheep at the show from her Osborne estate and became its first patron, and it is one of only seven shows in the country with royal patronage. Since 1967 it has made its home on the County Showground at Northwood, between Cowes and Newport in the Medina Valley. Over a July weekend there is cattle and sheep judging, horses and ponies in the rings, the Sheep Show, and a Show Farm where you can meet pigs, goats and calves. Wander from the bands on the Village Green to the Woodland, Island Arts and the Makers Market, try Island food and drink, and bring the dog for the fun dog show. Volunteers run the day, and its profits help young islanders train in farming.
