For three days at the end of November, the Millennium Grandstand at Newmarket's Rowley Mile Racecourse becomes a Christmas shopping fair. Presents Galore gathers more than 120 boutique stalls in Suffolk, selling gifts and experiences alike. This year brings a new Christmas and crafts area for local makers and a bigger food and drink hall, where producers sell cheese, preserves, honey, gin and Christmas puddings. Choirs and performers set the festive mood, and Harry and Kizzy, the National Horseracing Museum's Shetland ponies, drop in on the Saturday and Sunday mornings. All ticket money goes to three charities, under-16s get in free, parking costs nothing and one ticket lets you come back on any of the three days.
