When is the Portmeirion Christmas Fair?
It runs from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 December 2026, throughout the village.
What are the opening times?
The gates open at 9.30am and close at 5.30pm. The fair runs on Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026.
Where is the Portmeirion Christmas Fair?
Throughout Portmeirion village. The address is Portmeirion, Minffordd, Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd, LL48 6ER, and the postcode works for a sat nav.
How do I get there and where do I park?
Parking in the village is limited, so Portmeirion strongly recommends the free shuttle bus from Porthmadog. It runs regularly from 9am to 6pm and leaves from outside the Australia Inn on the High Street; free parking is at Llyn Bach car park, next to the B&M car park. If you come by train or bus, it is a walk of about a mile and a half to the entrance; use the path provided rather than the road because of the volume of traffic. There is a bike stand near the entrance (bring your own lock), but bikes are not allowed in the village.
How much does it cost to go in, and do I need to book?
Tickets for the fair and the village are not sold in advance. You buy them on the day at one of three tollbooths, and cash or card is accepted. Children under 5 go in free, and a valid Portmeirion membership card can be used for entry. Portmeirion has not yet published the prices for adults, concessions and children aged 5 to 15.
What is there to see and do?
Artisan stalls selling Welsh produce, with food, drinks, gifts and crafts from local makers, and a programme of entertainment. Portmeirion says the full entertainment list will be released closer to the event.
Are dogs allowed?
Portmeirion's rule is that pets are not allowed on site, with the exception of guide dogs and registered assistance dogs, which must be kept on a short leash and under control in the grounds.
Is the fair accessible for wheelchair users?
The village has many slopes and steps, and Portmeirion says it is not ideally suited to anyone with restricted mobility. The main route into the village is a tarmac road, but it is sloped. You can bring your own wheelchair, walking aid or mobility scooter, and wheelchairs are available to borrow. Blue badge parking is available on site on a first-come basis; during the fair it is relocated, so follow the signs. If it is full, you can drop passengers off and then use the park and ride.
Is there anywhere to eat?
Christmas-themed menus are available during the fair. To reserve a table, call 01766 770 000, and allow extra time because queues are likely and parking is limited.
Can I have a stall?
Portmeirion's page says applications for 2026 are now closed. Stallholders must sell products handmade in Wales, companies and charities must be registered in Wales, signs must be bilingual, and stallholders must take part on all three days. Stands are offered in a shared marquee, the Hercules Hall area and wooden chalets, or with your own trailer or gazebo.
Will anything in the village be different during the fair?
Portmeirion says some village views will be affected from 16 November until about 11 December 2026 while the event is set up and cleared.
