Petersfield Christmas Market
The Petersfield Christmas Market is put on by Petersfield Community Events, a not-for-profit community interest company whose founders have organised the town's festivals since 2011, and it brings 100 stalls to the centre of town for a day of festive shopping. The stalls are there for Christmas presents, and the organisers ask everyone to buy locally wherever they can. Choirs and children from the area's schools sing carols, while the Square fills with Christmas music, mulled wine and food to keep the cold at bay. Entertainment for families spreads out along the streets, and Santa might even put in an appearance. Sponsors keep the whole day free for everyone, so it costs nothing to come along.
