Orsett Show

Saturday 4 September 2027
Orsett Showground, Orsett, Essex(RM16 3BD)

Revived in 1895, Orsett Show took place in Orsett Hall's park until the First World War and now has a permanent showground at Orsett, a village near Grays in Essex, just off the A13. It is held on the first Saturday of September and run by volunteers. Sheep and cattle compete in the livestock classes, with a handling contest for the young, and the horse section takes in showing, driving, dressage and showjumping. Elsewhere you will find hobbies and handicrafts, a craft fair of handmade work from local artisans, The Pantry and a Youth Zone where schools show students' projects. There is a picnic area and a beer tent, parking is free and dogs on a lead are welcome.
