Nottinghamshire County Show

Saturday 8 May 2027
Newark Showground, Winthorpe, Nottinghamshire(NG24 2NY)

Nottinghamshire County Show kicks off the showing season at Newark Showground in Winthorpe: a one-day festival of the county's farming and countryside with more than 140 years behind it, staged by the county's agricultural society, a charity that champions farming in the region. Some 1,500 competitors bring beef cattle, pigs, goats, ponies and heavy horses, alongside floral art, home baking and growing, and farriers competing at shoeing. The Countryside Area has workshops, demonstrations and a family fun dog show; the Festival of Food gathers independent producers from Nottinghamshire and the wider Midlands, with music by the bandstand; and the Growing Hub in the Lady Eastwood Centre lets families try planting. General parking is free, and friendly dogs on a short lead are welcome.
