North Somerset Show

Monday 3 May 2027
Land at Kingdown, Redhill, Somerset(BS40 8DR)

The North Somerset Agricultural Society grew out of a ploughing society in 1840, and its 167th North Somerset Show takes place on the May bank holiday Monday at an interim site at Kingdown, close to the A38 near Redhill. Axemen race each other through great blocks of timber, beekeepers, blacksmiths and sheep shearers hold competitions, and there are gundog displays and a tug of war. Heavy horses are judged in the morning and go on to the main ring in harness later, where North Somerset's Strongest Man is also decided. At 3pm the champion livestock parade, while over 260 trade stands, a Food Hall and indoor marquees fill the rest of the day. Parking is free and dogs on a lead are welcome.
