Maidstone Museum Christmas Craft Market
Once a year the Tudor manor that houses Maidstone Museum, right in the middle of town, fills with Christmas shopping. The Maidstone Museum Christmas Craft Market in Kent gathers more than 40 small businesses, and lifts carry visitors up to the stalls on the top floor. The stalls sell candles, jewellery, knitted goods and home decor. The market costs nothing to get into, everyone is welcome, and the museum itself is free to enter too. Maidstone East station is about two minutes away on foot through Brenchley Gardens, Fremlin Walk car park is opposite, and the town's main shops are a short stroll off.
