When is the Lamport Hall Christmas Market?
It runs over two weekends in 2026: Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, and Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December. It is open 10am to 4pm each day. The House and Gardens are closed while the market is on.
Where is it?
At Lamport Hall, Lamport, Northamptonshire. The market is under cover in the Edwardian stable block, with an indoor heated marquee on site. Use the Porter's Lodge entrance on the Old Road, not the A508, and follow the road signs or use the postcode NN6 9HG.
How much are tickets, and do I need to book?
Lamport Hall's website lists tickets at £6 for an adult (16 and over), £2 for a child (5 to 16) and £15 for a family (2 adults and 2 children), with under 5s free. You can pay on the gate by cash or card, or book in advance online through the Lamport Hall website. Tickets to see Father Christmas are a separate booking and must be made in advance.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking is on site in the Porter's Lodge and Four Acre fields. It is on grass, so Lamport Hall advises wellies or sturdy boots. Disabled parking is available.
Are dogs allowed?
Friendly dogs are welcome on short leads. There are no dog litter bins on site.
What is there to eat and drink?
A festive food market and refreshments are on site from Sauls of Spratton, and an indoor heated marquee decorated in an apres ski style serves alcoholic and soft drinks. The stalls themselves include artisan food.
What is there to see and do?
More than 100 stalls under cover sell jewellery, glassware, art, clothing, ceramics, woodwork, accessories, cards and artisan food. Entertainers roam through the day (an elf balloon modeller, an elf bubble maker and an angel stilt walker), and the free Santa Bus, a big American school bus fitted out as Santa's transport, runs on 5, 6 and 13 December with a photo opportunity, crafts, a festive trail and a virtual reality experience before you collect a treat for Santa's reindeer. On 5 and 6 December a Leonberger dog pulls a traditional cart to deliver your shopping back to your car. Bands and choirs play to a timetable, which can change at short notice. Lamport Hall says the market is a fundraiser for Lamport Hall Preservation Trust.
Is it accessible for wheelchair users?
Lamport Hall says the market is held mostly on one level, but there are steps in places, and the stables have some gravelled and cobbled areas. Disabled parking and disabled toilets are available. The parking fields are grass.
Can I pay by card?
Not all stallholders can take card payments. The nearest cash machine is in Brixworth village.
How do I get a stall?
Lamport Hall says both weekends are fully booked for 2026, and you can ask to join the waiting list. Its Stallholder Information page asks applicants to email the hall's enterprises team with the events they want, an indoor or outdoor preference, what they sell and links to any online shop or social media. If spaces are available, booking forms are sent and successful applicants pay a deposit. Lamport Hall suggests registering interest at the start of each calendar year, and there is a mailing list for 2027.
