Heckington Show

Saturday 24 July – Sunday 25 July 2027
Heckington Showground, Heckington, Lincolnshire(NG34 9RA)

Billed by its own organisers as England's largest village show, Heckington is run by volunteers as a charity and grew out of the village's centuries-old St Mary's feast week. Its home has been the same Lincolnshire showground, off the A17 east of Sleaford, ever since 1867. Saturday has heavy horses, a donkey show, grass track cycling, a 10 mile road race and a fun dog show, while Sunday brings showjumping and big turnouts of cattle and sheep. A heritage marquee demonstrates old crafts such as chair making, pottery and corn dollies on both days. Saturday closes with an open-air concert and fireworks in the main ring, covered by that day's ticket. Parking is free, and the station is a short walk away.
