Grantown Show
Grantown Show is the family-minded summer show of the Strathspey Farmers Club, a club that dates back to 1787, held across Heathfield Park in Grantown on Spey in the Highlands from eight in the morning until eight at night. The early hours belong to the livestock, with cattle, sheep and horses judged first and the Clydesdales taking their turn at 11am. From 1.30pm the afternoon fills up with a pipe band, the grand parade, vintage vehicles and a pageant of decorated vehicles, alongside fastest farmer, terrier racing, a pets parade and races for the kids, before the speed shear at 6pm. Around it all are trade stands, a craft fair and a fun fair, and the following night brings a dance in the marquee. Parking is free, under-12s get in free and dogs on leads are welcome.
