Frome Cheese Show

Saturday 11 September 2027
West Woodlands Showground, Bunns Lane, Frome, Somerset(BA11 5ES)

Cheese takes centre stage at the Frome Agricultural & Cheese Show in Somerset, a one-day agricultural show that counts itself among the oldest in the country and puts its crowd at up to 18,000. The pavilion hosts the Global Cheese Awards, with thousands of cheeses entered from Britain and abroad, tastings, a cheese café, an exhibit on the society's history since 1861 and an auction of winning cheeses. Outside, cattle and sheep are judged in the livestock village, which also has goats, the main ring holds show jumping and the Grand Parade of Livestock, and vintage machinery runs from steam engines to antique tractors. Archery, axe throwing and fly fishing are among the countryside pursuits, young children have a free play zone, and the fun dog show gives every entrant a rosette.
