Falstone Border Shepherds' Show

Saturday 21 August 2027 (to be confirmed)
Falstone, Northumberland(NE48 1AA)

The Falstone Border Shepherds' Show began in 1885 and returns every August to Falstone, a Northumberland village inside Northumberland National Park. Sheep take centre stage, with Blackfaced, Swaledale Cross and Mule sheep each judged in their own classes, while shepherds' dogs run in a sheepdog trial and terriers and hounds have classes of their own. Growers, bakers and makers enter vegetables, cakes, knitting, sticks and homemade drinks. Across the field there is a fell race, quoits and sports for children and grown-ups, alongside trade stands, food and drink and entertainment. The show calls itself friendly and welcoming, and parking on site is free.
