Dunster Show

Friday 20 August 2027
Dunster Showground, Dunster, Somerset(TA24 6NY)

Dunster Show is West Somerset's premier agricultural show, held on the Lawns beneath Dunster Castle at Exmoor National Park's edge. It traces its roots to 1835, when cattle driven to Dunster's market were judged at a show, and its summer show on the Lawns began in 1897; 2027 brings the 179th. Some 10,000 people come each year for cattle, sheep and horse classes, main-ring entertainment and a parade of vintage tractors and vehicles. A rural crafts display keeps traditional country skills on show, alongside a food and craft marquee and trade stands selling jewellery, vehicles and much in between. The show is run by a charity that funds bursaries for local students of land-based subjects, and the number 28 bus from Taunton or Minehead stops right outside the showground entrance.
