Crosby Ravensworth Agricultural Show

Thursday 26 August 2027
Low Bottom, near Barnskew Farm, Maulds Meaburn, Cumbria(CA10 3HU)

Founded in 1856, Crosby Ravensworth Agricultural Show is a one-day gathering of livestock, crafts and rural skills in Cumbria's Eden Valley, filling a field at Low Bottom, by Maulds Meaburn, on August's last Thursday. Volunteers from the local horticultural and agricultural society run it, and visitors arrive from across Cumbria and further afield. Sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry and eggs are all judged, there are horse and pony classes, carriage driving and a gymkhana, and the marquees fill with produce, horticultural and industrial entries. Bouts of Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling take their place alongside vintage tractors and machinery, children's sports and a fun tug of war. Dogs are welcome at the show if kept on leads, and there is a fun dog show that anyone can enter.
