Charlestown Christmas Market takes its festive shopping indoors in St Austell, Cornwall. For one Saturday and Sunday it moves into Penrice Academy on Charlestown Road, using both its sports hall and its drama studio, so you can browse in the warm and dry. Traders bring food, drink and crafts alongside a range of gifts, and entertainment runs through both days as local choirs and music groups perform. When your feet need a break, a small cafe serves drinks and snacks. Parking at the site is free, with stewards to guide you, and any donations are given to Cornwall Hospice Care. Afterwards, Charlestown's Grade II listed harbour, within a mile of St Austell, has bars, restaurants and gift shops.

How do I get to the market by car?
From Plymouth and the Tamar Bridge, follow the A38, bypassing Liskeard and Dobwalls, then fork left at the roundabout onto the A390 towards St Austell. From the M5 at Exeter, leave at Junction 31 onto the A30 towards Bodmin, then take the A389/A391 slip road towards Wadebridge and St Austell, go through Bugle and continue on the A391 until you reach the A390, then turn left towards St Austell. From St Austell, stay on the A390 and take the second exit at the first roundabout; the entrance to Penrice Academy is on the left just after it.
Can I get there by train, bus or taxi?
All trains stop at St Austell, and buses run from the station to Charlestown: the First National 24 or 25 bus runs from St Austell, St Austell Station or Fowey to Charlestown. National Express coaches run regularly to St Austell. Four local taxi firms are listed on the Getting to us page of the market's website.
Where do I park?
There is easy, free parking at the site, and stewards are on hand to guide you. Any donations go to Cornwall Hospice Care.
What is there to see and buy?
Food, drink and crafts from traders, alongside a range of gifts, and a programme of entertainment planned for the whole weekend, with local choirs and musical groups adding to the festive atmosphere.

Yes. There is a little cafe selling drinks and snacks for when you need a rest.

Through the For Traders pages of the market's website, where there is an enquiry form and a booking form. The pitches are level and dry, and there is on-site parking for loading and unloading.
