Christmas Fair & Santa's Grotto

Saturday 5 December – Sunday 6 December 2026
Octagon Hall and Lounge, Pavilion Gardens, Buxton, Derbyshire(SK17 6BE)

On the first weekend of December, Pavilion Gardens in Buxton, 23 acres of landscaped gardens in the Peak District, holds a bustling Christmas Fair, with Santa's Grotto as part of the weekend. Stalls fill the Octagon Hall and the Lounge, selling a wide mix of Christmas presents: jewellery and ceramics, woodwork, original artwork and photography, handmade cards, toys for children and ladies' clothing. Details of the grotto are due later in the year. Entry is free, and the way from the car park into the Octagon Hall is all on one level. Outside, the gardens have flowers, trees, streams, a lake and play areas, and the retail arcade has shops of its own.
