Brecon County Show

Saturday 7 August 2027
Brecon County Showground, Brecon, Powys(LD3 7PL)

Brecon County Show is the big day of the Brecknockshire Agricultural Society, founded by sixteen men who met in Brecon in 1755 and still going as the UK's oldest surviving agricultural society. Its 36-acre showground lies in the town itself, within Brecon Beacons National Park with the Usk Valley all around. Over 19,000 people come for the horses, cattle, sheep, goats and alpacas, the shearing and the egg show, tractors and vintage vehicles. Dogs on leads are welcome, with novelty classes from the waggiest tail to the prettiest puppy, and rings for terriers and lurchers. There are more than 300 trade stands, a food hall, a craft marquee and fairground attractions, and the organisers pitch the day at the whole family.
