Blackheath Christmas Fair
Blackheath Christmas Fair is a community Christmas market at Blackheath Halls in London, put on for the 13th year by volunteers with the Friends of Age Exchange. The organisers choose each of the 42 makers and traders by hand, so the stalls are full of gifts made by the people selling them, homemade treats and one-of-a-kind finds. Between browsing there are refreshments, seasonal music and festive entertainment, plus a raffle. Families, shoppers and supporters of local causes all make up its crowd, and every penny it raises goes to Age Exchange, the local charity that also runs a community café, to fund its work for people who need care and support.
