Anglesey Showground, Mona, Gwalchmai, Anglesey(LL65 4RW)

The Anglesey Show is a two-day agricultural show held each August on the Anglesey Agricultural Society's own 160-acre showground at Mona, near Gwalchmai. The Society first held its annual show in 1872, brought it to Mona in 1967 and now welcomes more than 40,000 people. Cattle, sheep, pigs and horses are judged in the rings and pens, there are arts and crafts and produce competitions, and the main ring has its own attractions. Y Cowt, the entertainment area, has live music, performances and activities for families, and there is a fairground too. Browse a shopping and exhibition pavilion and trade stands with farm machinery, vehicles and local gifts, eat from local producers or the food hall, and park free on the showground.
