Alresford Show

Saturday 4 September 2027
Tichborne Park, Tichborne, Hampshire(SO24 0PN)

Local farmers meeting at the Swan Hotel in 1908 gave Hampshire the Alresford Show, and since 1960 this one-day agricultural show has made its home at Tichborne Park, about a mile south of Alresford. Horse classes fill the day in the show's main ring, the livestock sections show off prize-winning animals, and the vintage section brings out tractors, stationary engines, cars and commercial vehicles. Gardeners put up their vegetables and flowers, farmers their arable entries, and the dog show has pedigree and novelty classes. Local produce, Women's Institute tea and cakes and public bars keep the crowds fed, the children's entertainment costs nothing, parking is free, and the money raised goes to local charities and schools.
